Rowley Plastic Surgery will not accept patients with a BMI over 30 for combined procedures which include abdominoplasty.
Dr. Rowley’s patients often choose to combine various surgical and non-surgical options to achieve their desired results.
Patients typically seek this procedure because of excess abdominal skin, especially after pregnancy or a significant weight loss. Patients also seek to correct diastasis (laxity of the abdominal muscles) which can often occur with pregnancy.
It is common for procedures to be combined in some cases. Dr. Rowley sees great success with this combination of abdominoplasty (“tummy tuck”) with some sort of breast lift (mastopexy) and/or breast augmentation, often in tandem with liposuction.
Please see the individual procedures for more details on how each is performed and what to expect.
“While I personally find the term “Mommy Makeover” a bit demeaning, whatever you call it, these combined procedures often offer excellent results for my patients. And of course, it’s not just for mothers—many women benefit from doing procedures in tandem. It is important to remember that when we combine procedures, it does increase risks and prolong recovery time. We will take time to discuss this before your procedure in detail so you can be well informed about what to expect.”
